About KSNB: KSNB-TV serves the Central Nebraska area in the Lincoln-Hastings-Kearney market. We are an NBC affiliate with full service newscasts in the morning, midday and evening on weekdays and evening newscasts on weekends. "Local 4" is a growing brand in the market in on-air, web, and social media platforms. Local4's hyper-local focus positions us to be an innovative leader in Central Nebraska. Job Summary: The select candidate will be part of our main weeknight news team in the Central Nebraska area. He/She is capable of anchoring, producing newscasts, reporting, writing, planning, story generation, web posting, videography and editing, and producing news stories from inception to completion professionally, as assigned, for on-air and on-line platforms and all on deadline. Duties include TV & online news stories that are professionally complete and compelling, anchor newscasts as assigned, present stories calmly and clearly and in a live capacity, appear at promotional functions, operate news equipment in a safe, professional manner, support news promotion, contribute regularly to news coverage and perform duties as assigned. These duties apply to all of our media platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Anchoring/producing weeknight newscasts in collaboration with your co-anchor - Generate content for on-air and online platforms - Assist in developing news coverage - Represent the station at public functions as needed

Requirements:

On-air experience for a professional news station is a must. A college degree or equivalent job experience in a journalism-related field, leadership skill, exceptional news judgment and professional knowledge of news operations are required, along with the ability to communicate live on-screen in a professional manner, for all of our media channels. The ability to type and operate newsroom computers and other newsgathering equipment in an above-average capacity, excellent people skills when dealing with co-workers and the public, a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are requirements.
