Description:

as a captain, you are responsible for either service (front of house) or the kitchen (back of house) with the support and guidance of the assistant coach. the service captain sets and enforces the expectation that every guest of sweetgreen should have a sweet experience, while the kitchen captain works with teammates to ensure that all quality control and food safety standards are met.

Requirements:

The Team Captain will: • Assist the Assistant and Head Coach in delivering on all policies and procedures as it relates to food quality, cleanliness, education and development of internal team. • Work closely with the Assistant and Head Coach in interviewing, hiring, training, and maintaining and maintaining a deep understanding of the Core Values within Sweetgreen. • Responsible for delivering high rate of customer service both with employees and guests. • Responsible for managing the sales floor during peak hours of operation to ensure courteous, accurate and efficient service. • Will work closely with the Assistant Head Coach in understanding/completing weekly food and inventory. • Work with the Assistant and Head Coach in ensuring all Safety and Security Policies are being followed on a daily basis including all daily cash handling policies. • Assist the Team Trainer

Additional Requirement Include • Ability to stand on feet for an extended period time • Ability to handle repetitive motions in regards to prepping items and handling a knife • Ability to lift 25 LBS or more at any given time • Serve Safe Certified • Work to maintain a respectful workplace environment • Assistant in the sign off and validation of Play makers
